So what is The Ouchy Factor?

The Ouchy Factor is a scientifically derived (yes, really, honestly, it is!) scale of pain.

We have devised this scale by testing all our ouchy stuff on poor ouchy sub and measuring the volume of her screaming.

Obviously, the true Ouch Factor depends on where the object is used, how hard the Oucher uses it, and other factors such as how good a gag you’ve applied to the ouchee. However, it should give you a reasonable idea of how much fun can be had.

Some stuff we sell won’t have the scale. That might be as they simply aren’t used for pain. However, in some cases it’s too subjective to define. For instance, The Game of Ouch uses so many different implements that on The Ouchy Factor Scale it would fall between a zero and well off the top of the scale, depending on how sadistic the Oucher is feeling that day.

The scale is basically 1 to 5, but often within a range. The graphic below, for instance, shows that this particular implement sits anywhere between mid-range and a full-on scream of terror.
