Ouchy Stuff FAQs

Essentially, an Oucher is a Dominant, or Sadist.

There are so many terms out there, such as Mistress/Master, Domme/Dom, Top, Sadist and various less commonly used terms. We also want to use a gender neutral term. So, we have decided to term all such wonderful sadists simply Ouchers. Their victims ... they are the ouchees.

Essentially, an ouchee is a masochist or submissive.

There are so many terms out there, such as slave, submissive, bottom, masochist and various less commonly used terms. We also want to use a gender neutral term. So, we have decided to term all such delicious victims simply Ouchees. Their tormentors ... they are the Ouchers.

This is The Ouchy Factor, you can consider ir as a sort of pain scale.

It's important enough that you can find more details about it on The Ouchy Factor page.

Even though our spiky delights are unlikely to draw blood (although we won't set that as a challenge!), as with all your toys it is a good idea to clean them between uses. this is particularly important if they might be used on more than one ouchee.

Clean them just like you would any of your other toys. Either some warm soapy water, or, and this is our preference, some isopropyl alcohol.

Cleaning them this way won't damage them at all. We suggest you don't leave them soaking in water for days, but even then it's probably not going to cause a problem.

Absolutely not. We suggest that none of the stuff we print should ever be inserted into any orifice. In fact, purchasing from us means you have agreed to not do so.

Although the spiky stuff should be strong enough, the chances of doing serious damage to soft tissue are just too great.

Additionally, there hasn't been any testing, as far as we know, as to bacterial grown on these plastics after they have been inserted.

Essentially just don't it's not a safe way to play.

That's an unfortunate downside to printing in colour, which wastes a lot of filament. We often use up to twice the amount of filament compared to the same item in a single colour.

We've discussed this in more detail in the 3D printing section.

We live in beautiful Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

We can, though that is only suitable for some of our products, such as the box some things come in. There are also limitations as to what a 3D printer can produce, and fine details may not print correctly. Check out our Custom Prints page for more details.

Be aware that custom prints usually take longer, as we won't have what you're after ready to go, and may cost a little bit more, though we'll try and keep that to a minimum.

Possibly. Please contact us to discuss this further.

No, sorry, we only sell directly on the web. We have previously produced custom products, where we have added a company's logo, that others have for sale. Please contact us if you wish to discuss this further, and also check out our Custom Prints page.

Purchasing, postage and the like

If we have what you've ordered ready to go then we will attempt to post it out to you within one working day. If we need to print your order, as we're out of stock or you've ordered more than we have, it might take a day or two longer. However, we will still endeavor to get it out to you as fast as we possibly can.

If there's going to be any significant delay, say if we've gone away for a few days or are waiting on new filament to arrive, we will let you know. You'll then have the option of waiting or we can refund your order for you if you feel the wait is too long.

Absolutely. There won't be anything on the parcel that shows where you've ordered from.

We use Australia Post, in conjunction with your local postie if you live overseas. Their times vary a little and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that.

We offer standard shipping and Express post, for here in Australia. Just be aware that Express Post no longer guarantees next day delivery. However, we've still found it to be pretty good.

Yes and no.

No, as we're a home business and don't have a shop front.

However, if you know us, or might be at an event ouchy sub attends, we are happy to hand deliver at those places. It will just depend how soon our paths might cross.

Ouchie sub will also, hopefully, have a table at the Brisbane kink markets in the future. We'd love to do markets in other states but it's just financially viable.

Maybe we can.

If you are not able to place an order as we don't ship to your country, then please contact us and we can let you know if we are able and calculate your shipping manually.

We use Australia Post, and there are issues with shipping to certain locations. For instance, shipping to the US is currently unavailable as Australia Post can't ship there as their systems aren't set up for the new tariff system (that insanely even now charges tariffs on a $1 import).

If you spend over $50 you'll have an automatic 5% discount applied. If you spend over $100 that goes up to 10%.

Unfortunately, we can't discount on shipping. We only charge what we are charged by Australia Post, plus nominal fee for the packaging, and actually run at a small loss on postage already.

3d Printing FAQs

We have a Bambu Carbon X1.

This is a truly amazing printer, to say the least. It is set up so we can print in up to 4 colours. You can increase this to 16 if you purchase the extra bits you need.

This is a phenomenal 3D printer. It's more expensive than many but, we feel, is the best printer out there that's affordable for home use.

We print mostly in PLA. PLA prints beautifully and also has a range of really nice finishes. For instance, we particularly love the matt finish so most of our stuff is printed in that. Some of the filaments we use, such as PLA Tough+, or PLA Galaxy, are simply different variations of PLA.

We do use PETG for some of our products. PETG, though it's a little harder to print, has a little bit more flex in it. For instance, our Ouchy Drumsticks benefit from having that ability to bend just a little. PETG also stands up better to sunlight, though that's seldom an issue in the dark dungeons we all tend to prefer.

If you want a more detailed explanation of the difference between PLA and PETG check out this useful article.

Not that easily, as the finishes aren't always obvious in photos, but we'll have a go. In the broad sense, think of paint you might buy, as that uses similar terms.

Matt: We use a matte finish for most of the stuff we print, as we think this finish is particularly nice. This has a very low sheen on it.

Silk: Silk filaments have a nice shiny look to them. The amount of shine does somewhat depend on the colour being used, mid-range colours shining the most. We often use a silk finish for our logo.

Standard: This is shiny to a degree. Definitely more shiny than the matt finish, but not as much as the silk.

PETG tends to come in just the standard finish.

No, but that's the default colour we use and the filament colour we will always have.

If you want to check out some of the previous custom colour prints we've done, then check here.

If you want a different colour, we are happy to print in that colour at no extra charge … if we happen to have that colour filament. Please check before ordering if we have the colour you want.

As we only print alternate colours after someone has ordered, there may be a delay of a day or so while we print your ouchy stuff. Hopefully, it shouldn't be any longer than that. Please be aware that if we do you a custom print, then we will require payment in advance and your purchase will not be refundable, unless we think we can still sell what was printed in your chosen colour.

Also, not all colours print as prettily as others, which is one of the reasons we mostly print in black. However, differences, if any, are only cosmetic and in 9/10 cases there won't be any difference at all.

So, if you want that special colour, contact us first and then if we do have the colour you want, make sure you add that as a note when you place your order.

Want a colour we don’t have? You still can, but there's more to it. Details can be found under the "What if I want a colour you don’t have?" FAQ.

If you want to check out some of the previous custom colour prints we've done, then check here.

First, do check with us. If we do have the colour you want, in the right filament, we are happy to print your ouchy in that colour at no extra charge. It might just take us a day or so, as we'll need to print it rather than having one ready to go.

If we don't have the colour you want, and you really would like that colour, then you can buy a roll of filament, and we can print for you using that.

A 1 kg roll of the filament we use costs about  $35, plus postage, from Bambu. NOTE: We will print any PLA or PETG filaments (and their variations, such as Matt, Silk etc.), so please do not order any other filament type. Please order the filament type, PLA or PETG, that the item you want is listed as being printed in.

IMPORTANT: Please check with us before you order your filament. Some of our products are best suited to, or will only print in a particular filament type.

We may end up using that filament for our own nefarious needs. However, if we use up your filament, we will repurchase it ourselves if needed, so you get to use the entire 1 kg over time. Be aware that 1 kg of filament prints an awful lot of ouchy stuff.

If you're ordering filament, there will obviously be a delay until we receive it. Bambu are pretty good, and their filament usually arrives in a few days. We'll then print it right away.

If you want to buy your own filament, order it from Bambu here (please do not order any non-Bambu filament as we won't print it). Use our address as the delivery address, and drop us an email to let us know it's coming. We'll let you know once it has arrived and then start printing your stuff.

Whenever the printer needs to change colours, it has to "flush out" the old colour filament so it continues cleanly with the new colour. The flushed filament is completely wasted. That's only a small amount of filament if you change colours halfway, or even occasionally, when printing something.

However, he 3D printed objects are made up of tiny layers, 0.16mm thick in our case. If a layer has more than one colour on it, this flushing process has to happen for every layer. Some of our stuff even has 4 colours being used, which means potentially doing that four times a layer. That means this potentially happens 25 times every millimetre the object is high! That's the worst case, and for a 2 colour object it's about 6 times per millimetre. As you can imagine, the amount of wastage can be significant.

The other factor is time, and hence the electricity needed to print, as there is a considerable amount of power required to heat the filament. For instance, printing a single shibari spike takes about 30 minutes. The same spike, but with a black inside and red spikes, takes a staggering 8 hours. Obviously, we do print more than one spike at a time, reducing this problem, but that illustrates quite what a difference there can be.

Another good example to illustrate this is our Phone stand. We have 2 versions, a plain black one and one with white for the triskillion. The plain black one takes about 2 hours to print, the one with the white takes 12, so 6 times as long. The filament used for that is also out of proportion, with the version with the white also taking 6 times as much filament. The amount used in the final product will be identical, which means 5/6th of the filament is pure wastage. The photo below shows how this particular object had to be printed, and thus you can imagine how many times the filament colour needs to be changed.

We don't like wastage like this at all, but unfortunately, it's the price that needs to be paid for multicolour printing. However, in the case of the phone stand, we decided it was too much waste to justify, so we stopped offering the coloured version except by special request.

Do we take our D/s seriously?

We are in fact M/s, and take our M/s very seriously indeed. It is in our lives 24/7, though also very much mixed with, and a part of, our romantic lives.

However, we both also like to have a lot of fun, and Sir Ouchy certainly doesn’t have any problems laughing while hurting sub ouchy.

However, Ouchy Stuff is aimed at being fun, quirky, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. We’re just trying to provide fun, well-built and designed, ouchy toys which we hope will result in a mixture of both laughs … and screams of pain.
