The heretic fork was most likely invented in the Middle Ages. We’ve taken our design from The Spanish Inquisition. We bet you didn’t expect that! Although we couldn’t find anything stating they weren’t 3D printed at the time, we do feel it’s a little unlikely. We haven’t made the tips of ours too spiky, for obvious reasons. It comes with a strap to hold it firmly in place.
The fork is then placed between the victim’s breastbone and the chin, forcing them to have their chin tilted up from their chest.
They are also very effective without a strap or any other fixing around the neck. Just tell your ouchee they are to keep the fork from falling, “or else”. It saves you all that tedium of having to fasten it in place.
It was originally used so that religious zealots could stop heretics from spreading heresy. With the double-ended fork held in place with a collar around their neck, if they tried to speak they would be painfully injured. You can read a little more about these fiendish devices here.
Note: The strap should fit most people. If you have a particularly large neck please simply let us know and we can make the strap a little longer.
